When Traditional Education Was Not Enough Codi Came In!
I am Khaled El-Ali, a Codi T02 graduate. In my journey through becoming a Web Developer, I went through a lot. Here's my story. π
I studied Information Technology at a Technical Institute and graduated in 2019. π¨π»βπ I later completed a 2-month internship in a Tech company.
So far so good? Not really, π I was very disappointed to discover that what I learned was not enough to land me a good job. The knowledge I had was outdated and far from today's market needs!
I went on with my life and worked as an accountant, a restaurant supervisor and tried a few other things. But one thing has always been on my mind: Web Development. ππ»
One day, my friend from Codi T01 cohort introduced me to the organisation. I was motivated again, π I applied and got accepted; this was a turning point in my life!
My experience at Codi was unforgettable. The programme is rich in technical knowledge and life skills. I learned so much not only from my incredible mentors,π‘but also from my peers. We exchanged knowledge and helped each other in group projects. π€π» We spent a lot of time together that we became one big family. π
Codi gave me the confidence and the right set of skills to apply for new jobs, and indeed, I got hired one month before graduation as a Full-Stack Web Developer at "Ring n Bring", a Dubai-based company (remote work). π¨π»βπ»
I truly believe that Codi's experience on my CV helped me land this amazing job. βοΈ
